Frequently Asked Questions
Permaculture is the practice of observing natural patterns and system and utilizing these to create sustainable designs of our properties to create abundance with less maintenance. Some call it going beyond organic. It’s more than just working without chemicals. It’s knowing how to utilize water more efficiently, how to stack systems so everything does more than one job, and how to create areas that help brings peace and happiness to more than just the people in them.
The three ethics of permaculture are earth care, people care, and fair share. These three things must work in balance. If all three are not met, it is not a true permaculture design.
A permaculture design is a great choice for you if you:
- Don’t like using chemicals
- Want to make your property more productive
- Want the most natural, abundant property with minimal work (there is some work, but not as much as when you don’t use permaculture principles)
- Believe that we can work with the earth, not against it
- Want to eat delicious, nutritious food sun-ripened and right off the plant
Right now, I can only serve SE Idaho from Blackfoot(ish) to Island Park(ish). I can do consultation calls outside of that area, but to have a really good design, I have to be able to walk around the property myself.
You can expect clear communication and a quality design. If your project is out of the scope of my abilities, I will do my best to help you find someone who is a better fit. If you are wondering what the specific deliverables would be, please refer to the services page for a list of what I offer.
